This project arose from my fascination for the tufting technique. This technique is usually used for making carpets. A simple metal frame as bottom and a thicker thread create the possibility to use this technique for more applications, such as a chair.
Different sized loops create an ascending shape that will eventually fann out over the floor. The chair is standing on the border of furniture and carpet. By crossing a carpet and a chair the comfort and the warmth of a carpet are used in a different way.
