About 7 years ago the family moved in a newly-built apartment with a slight face-lift – just painted walls and laid floors. The interior design is the fruit of the joint imagination of the hostess and her close friend Hanna Mirotina, a professional designer. The implementation was entrusted to a gang of constructors, who spent on it two years. For the sake of rationalizing the space and getting rid of the long narrow hallways, the outlay suffered a few changes: sacrificed were a few walls and significantly extended was the lounge zone. Thus, appeared a full-fledged family relaxation spot, two bedrooms, the kitchen and two bathrooms.

Rotating Library Bookcase
The UnWaste Revolving Bookcase is one of those great concepts that explains itself quite nicely just by the name.
Essentially this unit is a bookcase that spins on an axis, allowing you to access the contents from multiple rooms in the home. The UnWaste Revolving Bookcase was designed by the trio that includes architect Ben Milbourne, eco-designer Leyla Acaraglou, and furniture designer David Waterworth. The eco-friendly device was manufactured from reclaimed plywood that was tossed out from construction site hoardings. The designers used this raw edge, tying the elements of graffiti, weathering, and mismatched paint patterns into the overall design.

Book Library On Wheels in Mexico City
Food trucks are certainly a popular new way of finding interesting fare in the city, but what about other hobbies and important things like reading? Well, Mexico City has an answer to that one, with the A47 Library Truck. Productora was commissioned with the task to create a mobile library for the alumnos47 non profit organization.
Holding about 1500 books, this mobile library of sorts has hydraulic floors that allow readers of any height reach up to the top and select the desired book of choice. The floors’ adjustability also serves as a great function of group meetings and small presentations. All of the doors on the giant truck fold open to reveal a a sleek and clean space that appears empty until the eye travels up and sees all of the books waiting to be read.

Dalian Library
The library is intended to be a transformative environment that pulls visitors into a unique landscape. The building weaves into the ground creating a series of courtyards and topographic undulations- rooting itself, and then sweeping up into the air forming a bold urban landmark. The shifting of the mass creates spaces ranging from the intimate spaces for reflection in the courtyard to the dynamic and expansive views offered from the tower volume. The tower volume has a series of internal voids and terraced spaces to further enhance the variety of spatial conditions and to provide internal connectivity. A series of retail functions including cafes will help draw a larger audience to the library. A large media center that shares the central drop-off can be used after hours and function independently.
The mass responds and is shaped by views into the site and outward to the surrounding sea and mountains. A green hill over the media center forms an outdoor gathering space and amphitheater and will offer water views to the southern sea. A roof top café on the tower volume provides panoramic views of the mountains and sea.
The facade of the library is a dark grey brass that will develop a beautiful patina over time. The metal skin will have a natural resistance to the marine conditions and harsh weather. The smaller voids in the buildings mass will use an anodized aluminum brass alloy to remain vibrant and colorful as the rest of the building transforms with time.
