Wooden Tactile Keyboard
Exceptionally talented designer Michael Roopenian has set out to incorporate natural textures found in wood grain to help engage the users sense of touch with his Engrain Tactile Keyboard prototype. Each key is constructed by sandblasting wood which creates a raised ridge pattern formed by the grain. It would be fantastic to see these go into production, this keyboard is truly a work of art.

For those of us who grew up playing those retro video games the Romain Jerome Space Invaders Watch is more to us than just a timepiece, it’s a fond memory of what life and video games used to be like. This extremely limited edition watch was released in two colorways, one that included colored space invaders and the other which included all white invades both of which were held to just 78 units.
This particular model inherited it’s case design from the Romain Jerome Moon Invader watches and are all finished in a satin black with a matching rubber strap with the “RJ” logo stamped on it. The 4 ball and socket joints you can see in the images are there to represent the landing modules from Apollo 11, hence the Moon Invader name. The Space Invaders Watches come powered by caliber RJ001-A automatic movements with 42 hour power reserves. It’s hard to put a price on an item such as this seeing as how hard it is to actually find one for sale.

The idea of this natural resonance porcelain speaker is derived from the desire to create a unique and hand crafted speaker from the interior. Looking at the speakers that are out there on the market today which are mass produced the trap the sounds within itself, because it mostly focuses on amplifying a fat bass and sharp high tones. This porcelain speaker will put most of its focus on the natural vibe and ambiance. By amplifying inside with the ceramic and wood transmission construction, the sounds have a slight echo effect therefore establishing a more natural feeling of resonance. “Wasup” is a conceptual design integrating washing machine with toilette-flush. It suggests a sustainable water consuption by storing the wasted water in toilette-flush tank and reuse it with flushing. Moreover, “washup” brings a solution for the problem of location of washing machines in small bathrooms, overlapping washing machine usage space with toilette usage space. It is fixed on wall upwards toilette, so that loading of clothes would be easier for the user without bending or crouching. A special interface including three semi-sphere control units & two flushing buttons is designed for a practical usage of the product. “Washup” is a green product offering solutions for the problems of standard washing machines.
