Gispen Today Chair is a minimalist chair designed by Amsterdam-based designer Thijs Smeets. Thijs Smeets founded his Studio Smeets in 2007 after working for several design studios in The Netherlands and New York. Educated as a designer and engineer, his designs cover a broad spectrum of products – from furniture to consumer electronics.
Gispen Today Chair is a Contemporary chair made from plywood and a polypropylene shell that has been cut through horizontally. This chair has been exhibited during the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2012. It received a recognition for Good Industrial Design in during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.

Sedia Pelleossa is a minimal chair designed by Italy-based designer Francesco Faccin. The chair is both a craft and industrial product – craft because it is made of traditional materials and industrial because it is inspired by classical industrial Italian techniques. It is designed with the logic of industrial production, to be produced in a series and to lower production costs to a minimum.
Inspired by the natural reduction of the skeletal system, the chair‘s name literally translates Skinny to “skin and bones.” The handcrafted wood and stretched fabric chair combines the best of traditional workmanship and modern production efficiency.
