Candy is a minimal design created by Belgium-based designer Sylvain Willenz. The Candy collection exploits the potential of steel reinforcement bars normally used for concrete structures. Thanks to an industrial coating process, the common and usually unattractive rusty steel bars are given a new and seducing identity. High gloss paint, applied to the textured bars gives off a multitude of highly bright reflections.
The Candy table is the result of exploring the beauty and simplicity of ready-available construction materials to make pieces of furniture; such a commonly known bar could, by means of a simple design and an industrial intervention, become a beautiful and classic piece of furniture.

This private penthouse, located in Udine, Italy, was designed by Menzo Architettura & Design.
The apartment’s visible wooden ceiling beams give it a rustic touch that link it to a typical Italian villa, contrasting with the more modern touches of the light fixtures criss-crossing the beams and the steel elements of the kitchen.

According to custom, every year at the beginning of December a traditional Christmas tree adorns Hasselt’s main square. But this year it looks a bit different. Belgian company Mooz in collaboration with local residents the city of Hasselt have made an impressive ‘Taste Tree’ out of old white plates and cups. White porcelain with a gold or blue design has also been incorporated. The Christmas tree is 9 metres high and 6 metres in diameter. The tree is made up of around 5 000 items of crockery.
