Small Twister sculpture has been build using the technique I’ve explained for other sculptures: 3d model using a pc program, PVC plates assembly, polyester covering and final smoothing of all surfaces.
Small Glimpse sculpture is instead part of a bigger project consisting of sculptures of the same shape using three different materials. The initial model was made using polyester covered cardboard sheets. Then I constructed one sculpture of PVC using the same process described above. I finally made three bronze copies using the investment casting technique. And one final copy, Small Glimpse Glossy, in plastic using the same mould I’ve utilised for the bronze copies.
What is new about these two sculpture is the final decision to colour them and cover them with glossy varnish.
