What do we look for when we are scouring the hundreds of thousands of Etsy users when it comes to choosing someone to highlight for our Modern Etsy segment? Well, someone who makes things that we think will look awesome in a modern home is probably number one, of course. But secondly, we’re looking for someone with a really cool personal style that comes in through their work, because we believe modern is only bringing in items into your home that are meaningful and will add personality to it.
User Jessedirk’s work certainly fits that bill. It’s kind of hard to put an adjective to these modern grown-up, kid and lighting pieces, but there are some definitely Mid-Century Modern influences as well as kind of industrial influences as well as kind of 1930s Parisian influence (we can’t really explain the last one, that’s just how we feel.) Anyway, we like this stuff.
