The menorah is made of laminated bamboo with aluminum candle holders and recycled non-skid rubber pads. It is a simple merging of contrasting materials in a light and fluid form.

The form was derived with the intent of making the days, represented by the 8 candles, all in line and of equal importance, with a clear separation from the shamash, or head candle, which is used to light the other candles each night. Tapered candle holders fit either traditional or modern dipped candle thicknesses.
This work explores the possibilities of using sustainable materials and processes to create useful displays and accessories of lasting value.
